Cheating in examinations ~ Crime or a Right!!!!!!

Of late there has been a disturbing trend of blatant cheating in examinations not only by school goers, but also the graduation and post-graduation students. What has been more disturbing, is the involvement of parents of these miscreants in this act of theirs, who see this as a justifiable practice - even going up to the extent of demanding it as a 'legal right'. The recent boycott of examinations by law students in Bihar when being denied the use of unfair means bears a testimony to this fact. Several questions now arise pertaining to this malpractice :

1. Whether this action, which has gained collective propositions, has ethical or moral grounds to stand upon?
2. If the parents demand cheating as a right, where is our young generation headed towards?
3. Is this a continuous apathy or leniency of the authorities concerned towards such miscreants which has led to the worsening of the situation to this extent? (Perhaps the involvement of the invigilators and teachers has also contributed towards this)
4. The most important question however is, how to undo the 'wrong' that has been done? Is there a need of a social reformer of the likes of "Gandhi" or "Vinoba Bhave" to solve this problem, or collective action by common people is enough to solve this?

The questions are easy to frame, what is difficult is to find an answer to them.......

India has the history of producing intellectuals, due to it's enriched education system. The effectiveness of our education system can be traced back up to the "Ramayana Era" or even before that. But in the present conditions Indian Education system is somewhat losing its real meaning. The incidences like what happened in Bihar are posing serious questions on the education system and the very creators of such system.
How are we going to compete with the rest of the world with such a workforce who has completed their education by unfair means?
The solution which looks feasible here is the united action against such forces.
But a long way to go!!!!

Well as they there is always a right way to do the wrong things.everyone has some responsibility to play in society.A society is perfect ,when everyone lives upto expectation of others, hence the evil like cheating can be tackled only whe all the people together would try to curb it.It cant be eradicated by a single person. But ,ofcouse the role of teachers remain indomitable here,as they are prime force behind shaping up a society.

I think we should believe on the power of truth and the righteousness. Before I comment on the above question, I want to clear that fact—
“Continuous repetition can never convert a wrong act into right”.
Unfair means in examination isn’t new phenomenon in states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. To understand this problem we should go to the root cause first. The root cause is poor educational infrastructure in these states. Both students and teachers are responsible for this situation up to some extent. But the main culprit is government and its policy. If we go through the last year budget of Bihar then it is easily seen that hardly 0.5 % of total budgetary allocation was spent on education. Politicians are so mean minded that they never think beyond the vote banks. They never bother about the good upbringing of the future generation. So if any collective action in necessary then it should be against the policy of the government. We shouldn’t look at merely the disease but the root cause of the disease.

i think answer of these questions lies in ourselves. first of all whom do we call "STUDENTS",one who wants to earn knowledge but here this is not at all the case. so can we say that they are not at all students.
no, we can't say this without knowing the other side of picture. for the existence of student, teacher is essential but our law university(BIHAR)is suffering with faculty crunch as a result of which classes are suffering.at the same time ,politics has worsened its situation worst by introducing illegal admissions system instead of merit based for their political gain. now attendance, classes are having no meaning for students as well as for teachers as there uesd to be frequent dharnas, demonstrations, etc. for one or the other reason as a result of which genuine students classes also suffered. thus, once counted in good colleges of India has reached in this state.
so just one thing is needed there, one honest attempt by the government as well as by the college administration so that they can revive their old glory.

Cheating in exam is a symptom not the root cause .We always claim it as a problem but may I have a question to all the stakeholders in this event for which I w'd like to know the genuine answer? Why this is happening?Does education system is legging behind in it's role?As far as collective action of students of Bihar is concerned ,it's all about their short term goal.In social system every one strives for their existence .Though their mode of action may be wrong according to our so called civilized society but I don't think so.Could any one able to know why there is a unity in such issues, are they socially excluded people?? Exactly not. Therefore there is a need for figuring out the root cause rather than blaming those and their collectivity. The same example we could have of Naxalites in India. Are they criminal?? No ,they are simple human being like us but having deep distress which made them socially excluded and we so called civilized people call him extremist or criminal etc.
