Timing tactics: The mistakes of Nandigram

The agitations over the chemical hub by the Salim group of Indonesia had gained quite a popularity and initial public support. The “Bhumi Uchhed Prathirod Samity” led by the Trinamool Congress was doing quite a good work in restricting the Communist Party led goons in entering the villages and taking over the lands of the helpless villagers. The villagers concerns were considered genuine and had popular support (due to the March 14, killings of 14 villagers). But the movement was allowed to go on for too long turning away the public support to other affairs. This prompted the November 2007 attacks by the Communist party supporters which helped them at first to take over the land and then the timely calling of the CRPF to sustain status quo in the captured lands by the villagers. The aggressors had perfected in timing and planning which the defendants lacked.

Whenever the public agitation is being discussed we could easily find out the same pain having different interpretation. In Nandigram what happened was more of political driven.Still power is being relished by the hand full of people in our country so it's really tough to share it.Here in Nandigram we could easily see the consciousness among the people by which they could able to bear the agony and pain.Govt ambiguity also imparted as a big role in this mess.So we could analyse what made the govt to make the status quo ????It was nothing but the common people resistance which came out as a collective effort by themselves.
It's the felt need which force us to come on a common platform and to look for a common acceptable solution.

You are true in identifying that power corrupts. It happens in a greater way when the state itself is the perpetrator of the evils. It often becomes impossible for helpless villagers to fight against a serious Communist Sponsored force and specially when the state police forces are with them. It is also that the politics of Trinmool Congress had its own faults. When Mamta Banerjee knew that the war could not be won the she should have gone for a status quo when the villagers were in a better position.
It is the main reason maybe to keep out outside minds and those who do not actually know of the situation out of the decision collective making process.
