MCC Vs. MCC

As CAC classes move towards concluding sessions picture regarding collective actions becomes more vivid.
Lets see a small comparison between two groups/organizations which share same acronym but work in complete contrast

MCC-Spain (MONDRAGON CORPORACION COOPERATIVA)

First of its kind- A truly workers co-operative which is now 7th biggest business house of Spain is one of the unique models of the world where collective ownership of capital and resources is ensured and blend of co-operative principles of democracy and market efficiency principles of corporate led to the establishment of MCC when spain was going though tough face of Civil War. ( if interested in more details visit my blog Sharda )

MCC-Jharkhand (Maovadi Communist centre)

Another collective action, by people who do not believe in democratic principles and have collectively resorted to violence. Their collective action has brought a full stop to Jharkhand which because of its natural richness could have been the most developed state of India.

Both examples draw influence from contagion theory we learnt in CAC classes

These two startling examples of MCC ask for a serious concern from we IRMAN's

Sierra leone(diamond),Sudan(oil),Ivory coast(oil n diamond),Jharkhand(NATURAL RESOURCE -iron ore,gold ,silver)

Is their anything more common among these mentioned areas? It is civil war. When rights to natural resources are not GIVEN TO PEOPLE of that area this is what happens. In jharkhand maoist made sure that people realized this right of theirs, and hence the violent collective action.People when they dont have access to rights of their own natural resources or when they dont get the share of revenues from these assets they fight against state.

IT IS TRUE FOR THE CASE ALL THE AREAS VIVEK HAS MENTIONED.BUT IT ALSO INVOVLVES A POLITICAL ANGLE.THAT IS EXTERNAL AGENTS(MAFIA,FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS,TERROR GROUPS),SOW THESE IDEAS INTO THE PEOPLE SO THAT CIVIL WARS TAKE PLACE.THIS MAKES SURE THAT STSTE FIGHTS ITS OWN CITIZEN AND IN THE MEAN TIME THESE EVXTERNAL AGENTS DECAMP WITH THE RICH RESOURCES OF THE COUNTRY.MAOISTS ARE SIMILARLY TRYING TO BREAK OUR COUNTRY INTO PIECES,THAT IS THE REASON WHY GUNS ARE BOOMING IN MOST PARTS OF OUR COUNTRY AND A RED CORRIDOR HAS ALREADY COME INTO EXISTENCE.MAOISTS USE THIS TOOL TO UPRISE THE LOCALS COLLECTIVELLY AGAINST THE STATE.THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION BUT EXPLOITATION OF THE POOR.

Very true Vivek and Salman, same thoughts i had before i visited Jharkhand,(Sudan of India). MCC which outer world may see as preserver of rights of people of the land has lost its ideolgy, they have now 2-3 faction groups who are nothing other than extortionist's killing their own people for the sake of money.
Its like poor of the state are being crushed by both Government and Maosts ,so-called preservers of people of land.

Before entering in debate about the contrasting face of two MCC we must also understand that this movement was born due to centauries of oppression. The Maovadi Communist Centre is an offshoot of powerful communist movement. It represents an ideology which has left an everlasting impact on face of earth. In my view the concept of a nation will find itself difficult to survive if that nation can not feed millions of its population. The Indian MCC is communist movement aimed to establish a so called classless society. This is a collective action of those people which has lost hope in Indian democracy.
The case of Spanish MCC shows another face of collective action and can be compared to Amul as a cooperative. But problem is that can a cooperative like Spanish MCC solve the class and caste based discrimination in Indian Society? Can such cooperative change the land relationships and can it eliminate castes from India? MCC of India is a bigger question and need a bigger solution. This is a collective action guided by desire to dramatically change the society. A cooperative movement will be only a part of solution but to save the nation the solution should reflect change in social and economic fabric of India.
