Adopt BPL people and save tax

Every tax payer should adopt a person below poverty line and a part of the tax he pays to the government should be directly given to the adopted person. However, when the system is in use, he will be connected to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) person and this BPL person gets a share of his income. Of course, the Government will need to part with certain funds, but whatever funds it parts with will ensure a better livelihood for a BPL person.

If the person pays very high tax, he should have the freedom to choose and be connected with multiple BPL person. Thus, the Government can divide taxpayers in various categories with each category assigned a set number of BPL people. For instance, everyone in category A has to adopt one BPL person, in category B two BPL person and so on. These categories in A,B,C,D are in order of increasing tax payments. The taxpayer may be allowed to set a restriction on usage of funds, e.g. for education of children, food and livelihood, medical, savings for future use etc.

good. new ways for tax aversion.. legally:) do u think this is really practical? if there is atleast some concern for the poor by the rich person, rather than exploitation, the disparities start reducing, leave alone adopting a BPL household.

It's a good idea. Though implementing the same could be difficult. There is a concept of voluntary donation as well. Zakāt or "alms giving", one of the Five Pillars of Islam, is the giving of a small percentage of one's possessions (surplus wealth) to charity, generally to poor and needy Muslims.

its indeed a good idea.but can u please clarify on the mechanism as to how the money from the taxpayer will reach the BPL family.how will one ensure that this delivery system will be least influenced by corruption!

As said by Ritesh Kewlani, it may work in that way.
But as we know that all the members in NREGA are having their bank accounts where the paid amount for their work is deposited. There should be the same mechanism where every poor family household will have an account in bank and also there must be some rules laid by govt. to cross check the circulation as well as implementation of money in right way

It's a good idea. Both of the facilitator and beneficiary would be working for a common goal;elimination of poverty. But do you feel it will be working in long run?Tax is collected from various sources and it is to be implemented in different heads,so going for patronizing anyone can't solve the purpose of government.Government has to look after many other things. So how all these would be addressed? Then there is no certainty of getting works done properly in the way you are suggesting. While tax payment is done on the basis of some rules regulations, how come you would be sure that the way you are prescribing would assure us the person is sincerely paying!!!
