weapon of weak

as per the article poor resist peacfully to get barganing power, i agree that some policy change has resulted but, definetly it takes very long time along with that the extent of its efficiency is doutfull. i feel unless the fundamental structure which is reproduced by actors will not change, its not going to help much, for that to happen we need agents who can challenge the structure...but....WHO WILL DO IT?THE POOR? OR SO CALLED RATIONALE PEOPLE OF OUR SOCIETY

Both the poor and rationale people from our own society have come forward time to time. There are numerous example one can quote from past. Also nothing happens overnight. The fruit of collective action takes time to ripe.

I agree with what Rajnish has said.
Along with that the conflicts between the peasants and landowners should be resolved. By doing so the peasants would not resort to everyday's form of resistance and landowners would not have to bear the material losses due to quiet resistance by the peasants.
This in turn might be better for the society as a whole.

adding on to the point deepika has raised, the pertinent question that can be asked is how to resolve these conflicts??????
there will always be a gap between the wants of the peasants and what they can actually get....what needs to be done is to arrive at a common point or a win win situation for both the concerned parties.

the other thing more urgently required would be to give abstract thoughts physical shape and concrete theoritical base. Talking and appealing to the rational individual will not be of much consequence if the educated dont take the onus on themselves.
A win-win is ideal. try for a less pronounced win-lose
