Don't March Alone, Take The 'Other India' Along In Growth Ride

On Sunday evening "The Economic Times Awards For Corporate Excellence" were given to the top guns of India Inc-people who are at the "top of the pyramid". Here in this award ceremony many ministers were also present. But corporate excellence is not only about turning in huge profit any longer. There are still around 68% population of India living in rural areas and many of them are at the "bottom of the pyramid". So the new mantra should be 'Inclusive Prosperity'.
Don't you think the issue needs a collective and cooperative action from the "top of the pyramid" for those who are at the "bottom of the pyramid"?

very rightly pointed out,, if we refer to the capitalism and cooperation reading ,,trickle down effect raises people out of poverty ,, so if the industrialists invest in any place then it directly or indirectly provides employment and thus a regular income

the cooperation from both the levels would reap in more results rather than efforts from only 1 section of people. it is agreed that the top level needs to cooperate for the rapid and faster growth..

On the question you pose, i find it to be quite hypocritical for oneself to assume that a unidirectional mode of action is the path to a solution. Help, and most importantly the acknowledgment and need for it must come from one and all. It is only then that the true spirit for community action and cooperation is realized.

Investment by corporates does not mean welfare all the times. See the example of Jharkhand and Orissa. Even the investment made in these two states has not resulted in reducing the poverty level significantly. For inclusive growth all the stakeholders Government, Business elite and society as a whole have to work in sync. Then we can see an inclusive growth of other India.
