Milaap- Is there milaap in organizing??

Generally, event management is vested upon a few shoulders and they are mostly responsible for carrying the work forward. However, involving the fellow students in the process is necessary for the smooth functioning of the event. But, do we feel responsible towards the event?? When we are asked to do some job, we appear and when it’s done, we are off. Are we bothered enough to know the progress of the work towards the event?? And infact, it is not proper for the core committee to involve everyone in the process which slows down decision making.

If involvement of everyone will delay the decision-making process. And,the self-proclaimed core-group would decide on his own, then the very purpose of Cooperation will fail. This type of working style will not survive in the long run. And,the so-called core-group will collapse in few days.
This MILAAP has the basic purpose of Cooperation and meeting the people.Even the core group of Hitler and Stalin didnot became successful without the help of common people.MILAAP needs support from every quarter.
In Bhojpuri there is a proverb, which means-"When there is a feast, you are my maid. But,when there is a work of washing the plates, you are my mother."

I m not denying to the very fact that the soul of Milaap lies in the cooperationand coordination.....
but when we are bounded by the time limit we should cooperate our representatives in their respective decisions and turn up to make the event a big success...

As far as Milaap is concerned or any other event for that matter, there simply can't be the involvement of everyone.
The contribution of people on the sidelines is that, they are there for those, who are directly involved in the event. It is their responsibility, but there is a catch.
Those people who are not first movers, can either be motivated by observing others and may join in the later stages whereas some may join for fun or just for personal reasons even when they know that the marginal benefits to the group will be minimal.

While it comes to decision making process those who have joined for its “process benefits” may slower the process. So considering the need of decision along with other factors their involvement may be bypassed sometimes, if we are able to identify those. I don’t think this will dampen the very essence of cooperation.
