name of collective action

every movement claims that they are doing with people cooperation. is it really happened. naxalite movement also claim it . is it really happened. reality is faraway from it. they takes peoples cooperation forcefully. alluring young unempolyed youth to work for them. leader of naxalite live with luxury but cadre remain poor for ever. they suffer police atrocities but they gain nothing. where it going ? what it will acheive? question is important than the answer .

We can see this kind of situation everyday. Its a hard fact that even the so-called 'communist leaders' resort to luxury and corruption once they gain power. Take the case of Prachanda of Nepal. But his supporters say that he deserves to live in a palace because he has sacrificed a lot for poor Nepalis. But what I see today in Kathmandu is the poor ones are same what they were under King's regime. For them nothing has changed. Only from King Gyanendra we now have King Prachanda!!

I second you on this, Many a times the actors are either lured or coerced into the collective action.

But this can be categorized as collective behavior according to the "Emergent Norm Theory" of collective behavior...though we may debate how ethical the means are...
