Black side of collective action

Valentine's Day is just round the corner. And it won’t be late before we start reading about couples being harassed by “keepers of Indian culture”. This seems to be the one most disgusting face of collective action wherein the political parties unleash the hoodlum a.k.a party supporters. The collectivities of the moral police try to protect the traditional Indian culture, by damaging property and humiliating people. But in doing so, they tend to forget the tradition old Indian culture of tolerance towards other cultures. An example of the black side of collective action.

What is black side in it?
It is your way of looking to the condition. By calling it Black Side, you are just narrowing down your viewing to the situation to your values. And same is done by them, who oppose the westernization of our tradition.
So there should be collective action on the larger scale in which two different sections of society co-operate and try to understand each others values.

Probably you read me wrong. We can not impose our views or ideologies upon others in a democratic country like India.Who are we to restrict a group on what they should do and what they should not? By forcing our views in the name of "opposing westernization" are we not showing a black side??

I concur with sweta that this can be called as a black side as per the explanations given by her. the culture keepers are doing it as it does not come under their values. thats fine but this doesnot gives them the right to harass other people. They can protest against it. they have no right to use violence against any other individual.
