Critical Consciousness and the Collective

When we try to understand the “critical consciousness” in the context of how it fits into our course on “collectives”, we see that people in the state of critical consciousness strive for being rather than having. In such a case, with the removal of having, don’t people have lesser incentive to come together in this higher level of consciousness?

Also complicating things to a fair extent are:

1.in real life, there exists more than just the dualism of haves and the have nots..
2.the state of consciousness being both means and the ends.
