Erich Fromm said, in "having mode", one depends upon material possessions & power. The ‘being mode' based on love, depends upon engaging & sharing in meaningful & productive activity.
For those in having mode, if their haves are taken away ,their is no existence left .But one needs to move from haves to beings, in the process of becoming. For example in a year’s time, we have degree from IRMA. But it is completely different from being an Irman.. The choice lies with us...to have or to be ,because one thing is for sure, that to be is to have...

well said
lot of people are still in the have mode and are just spending away time here to have a degree, however the whole idea is to live out this experience in b school whereby you would shift from the have mode to being mode and as a result will be able to enjoy benifits of both the mode as being mode incorporates the have mode
