Satsang:A collective action to achieve the GOD

Satsang is a spiritual or devotional activity followed in Hinduism,Budhism,Jainism and Sikhism. It is a congregation of religious or spiritual people who assemble together to listen to a Guru or a religious discourse or participate in some religious or spiritual activity such as devotional singing, dancing, meditation or concentration. It provides people with an opportunity to keep engage themselves in divine thoughts and actions and remain focused on their respective path.
Can any economist please describe the rationality and cost-benefit equation in terms of material or monetary gain/loss?

I am not an economist, but the reason behind satsang I feel is that....
It is easy to break a stick, but not a bundle of sticks. When a large group of people get together for a single purpose, the collective force of their positive thoughts is very large to bring about great changes in themselves and around them too.
