THE SUCCESS OF BANAS CO-OPERATIVE (PART-1)

It makes me proud to come from the district with Asia's largest co-operative dairy. The reason which I feel, allowed banas dairy to consistently grow is probably its resemblance with the sugar cooperatives in the Maharashtra, where sugar growing was the primary livelihood of the member farmers. Similarly in the Banas district the livestock rearing is the primary source of livelihood as compare to other district where still the livestock is secondary source of the income. So it signifies the importance of benefits derived from collective action by the members which drives the Cooperatives to success.
