This Telangana thing is sharply dividing the batch into two.Reading some of the outrageous comments viz. support of violence ,couldn't stay out of it for long..
1)Violence be gets violence and two wrongs do not make one right..
2)The creation of state and reordering of boundaries should exclusively be done on administrative grounds and nothing else.Moreover,Carving a state out of already existing one is not like dividing the country a la 1947.Governing a monolith of a state like Bombay presidency ,Madras presidency and United Province gave birth to idea of smaller states.
3)How ironic it is that the state crafted out of one based on linguistic lines is crying foul at the one crafted out of itself on not so similar lines and if K.Rao is to be criticised, Potti Shriramulu deserves even bigger criticism because he "started it all" (Note-This is just an argument and not my own view).
4)Similarly there is no reason to believe that creating smaller states is panacea to all problems.If Jharkhand and Chattisgarh are anything to go by.
5)Method of fasting unto death was perfected by..u know who.. and if it worked for us at that time there is no reason to discredit it as a 'blackmail' this time.
6)The whole problem of Indian state has been that the 'Sahebs' sitting in Delhi have lost touch with local populace once too often.Talk of Naga ,Bodo , Punjab ,J & K and now A.P. Seeing the unfriendly winds blow they announced Telangana and now contradicting themselves the very next day.
and lastly and most tragically ..
IDEA OF INDIA DIED THE VERY DAY WHEN STATE FORMATION/RESTRUCTURING STARTED ON LINGUISTIC LINES...Separate state for "us" as we are different from "them" . Haven't we heard that argument disturbingly many times in history text books...
