World is unjust...

@Priyanka

Even though the issue of US female soldiers in Iraq is disturbing and should be condemned, one has to ask a simple question; Is this world fair? I mean isn't the vulnerable who has been targeted and exploited since ages? And this is no gender specific. The sexual abuse of men in the US army is equally prevalent and it outnumbers the women cases:

But that not my point. The moot point is are we living in an utopian society where evey one understands the essence of 'ahimsa'? Probably not, so one has to withstand his/her ground and fight it out when marginalized rather than blame the system and feel pity on self.

Dear Rupesh,
Even if we agree that their sufferings do match, the point being refuted was not what you seem to have perceived it.Everyone knows the world is not fair or Utopian.Does that mean we stop complaining? Unless we express injustice, how will we even attempt to change the system?Do you plan to fight it out single-handedly and alone?The point I was trying to refute was the ancient mindset that classifies women as the epitome of ‘infinite capacity for suffering’,and the emphasis that was being laid on the failure of women in venturing in male-dominated territory.Women will complement men, but give them a fair chance first.The excuse that the world is unjust does not work here.

I am not even saying that their suffering match dear. Women are more vulnerable than men from time immemorial and it is fact that can't be refuted.

I have issue only when someone expresses injustice just by complaining and crying that s/he is not given a fair chance.
This is precisely where unjust world comes into picture as no one ever gives up a advantageous position on his own. And this very concept of women being "epitome of infinite capacity of suffering" is a convenient way for male to justify the dominance they have been enjoying.
So, world being unjust is not an excuse but a bitter reality.
