Rats and Rabbits

Today's game intended to show that profit lay not in going for the immediate individual gains. Rather a scenario whereby almost equitable though small gains are sustained is more preferable. Without co-operation everyone tries to take a decision supposed to maximize benefit and yet it would cut into each other's benefit. Further it would lead to one suffering the most in developing tendencies whereby he works to inflict maximum damage. His reasoning would be that since I am relatively worse why not take down others with me .In doing so he suffers but so does the group.

That's where the concept of rationality comes in. I understand it is difficult to put our biases/past experiences aside. But that's where the challenge lies !!!!

What we learnt from today's game is that we should also be aware of other player's move in the collective action. Some defaulters should be taken care of so that they may not gain individual benefit while others are thinking of collective action. Also Leader's role and action should be rational.

there are two things which came put of the game
1. is there any incentive for the individual to cooperate??
when you say that lets take other down because you are suffering, is there any justification behind it???
why others has to suffer if one is suffering??
it might be rational for you....but does it brings any good.
2. why the group fails to think on the lines of "Bahujan Hitaya, Bahujan Sukhaya"
and how does the sanctions or rules apart from effective leadership helps to make the group think on these lines.

can't be there any alternative for "SPARE THE ROD SPOIL THE CHILD" ideology when there are benefits on defaulting
here rod means the rules and sanctions
the group individuals represented by "child"

think over this!!!
