Social capital building as a strategy-criticism from an individual’s point of view

We have discussed how networking and building a social capital aids many things in life. This can happen at an individual or an organizational level. The problem with social capital building at an individual level as against an organizational level is that the target might not like it too much if he is being inducted into the leader’s network and may view it as opportunism. What is of critical importance in such cases is the degree of reciprocity and multiplexing that this relationship holds and proper inclusion,incentives for the target.
