After going through the course GAD and healthy discussion in each session, i want to raise the issue of cost benefit liberty of women.
Cheers! Woman power seems to have come of age, after all. With the Supreme Court upholding the Delhi High Court's decision of allowing women to serve liquor in bars till late night, the battle of the sexes seems to have got a shove of equality. For women employees of the hospitality industry this move brings them at par with their male counterparts, in terms of salaries and incentives.
But is the Indian urban society ready to accept women bartenders with men being able to hold their drinks? Are Indian men prepared to look at women bartenders with respect for their skills of whipping up Pina Coladas and Bloody Marys or are they still stuck in the 'woman as an object of lust' only mode? Is there any guarantee that another Jessica Lall won't be shot down for having refused an already-inebriated customer another drink? Will the presence of women bartenders aggravate the situation? Or can the presence of bouncers keep such elements at bay?

It is rightly said that change is the only thing that is constant in the world. well it is high time that women in India get the liberty of leading their lives the way they want to live.....when women can match up to men in all other spheres of life then why can't we have women bartenders??? it is high time that we do away with the gender biases and welcome this well deserved change...
