A not so big Group — still cumbersome to handle- a Real Case

Even small groups can falter in collective action. This is a case from a prominent rural management school in western India which has 'some' committee working for students. Due to the lack of a factor which explains 'co-ordination' ,required for any collective action, that went missing, some apparently had to do more work and others had to do either less or close to zero work. But, for the outsiders, the latter are 'just just' free riding.

collective action, whether it is for a common good of a few or a large number of people is not easy to achieve. The sheer complexity involved is the beauty and challenge involved in the action.do not expect respect and love out of these action from the intended beneficiaries. Remember that most of the collective actions that changed the world order began as small groups.
